AI Tool Policy
Nuraga: Journal of Education and Learning Insights acknowledges the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing and research. The journal establishes the following policy to ensure transparency, academic integrity, and responsible use of AI technologies in scholarly publications.
1. Permitted Use of AI Tools
Authors may use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar technologies) for limited purposes such as:
- Language editing and grammar improvement
- Improving clarity and readability of the manuscript
- Assisting with formatting or structuring text
AI tools must not replace the author’s intellectual contribution or critical thinking.
2. Disclosure Requirement
Authors must clearly disclose the use of AI tools in their manuscript. The disclosure should be included in a separate section (e.g., Acknowledgment or Methods), specifying:
- The name of the AI tool used
- The purpose of its use
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the content.
3. Prohibited Use of AI
The following uses of AI are strictly prohibited:
- Generating substantial parts of the manuscript without proper disclosure
- Fabricating or manipulating data, results, or references
- Using AI to produce misleading, inaccurate, or unverifiable content
- Listing AI tools as authors
4. Authorship Responsibility
AI tools cannot be considered authors. Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research and manuscript. All authors are accountable for the content of the submission.
5. Editorial and Reviewer Use of AI
Editors and reviewers must not upload manuscripts or any confidential content into AI tools, as this may compromise confidentiality and data protection. The peer-review process must remain secure, unbiased, and confidential.
6. Ethical Compliance
This policy aligns with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and supports the journal’s commitment to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing practices.
