Plagiarism Policy
Nuraga: Journal of Education and Learning Insights upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. The journal has a strict policy against all forms of plagiarism and publication misconduct.
1. Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying part or all of another person’s work without proper citation
- Substantial paraphrasing without appropriate acknowledgment
- Duplicate publication or self-plagiarism without clear disclosure
- Data manipulation, fabrication, or falsification
2. Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate to ensure originality.
3. Similarity Threshold
- The overall similarity index must not exceed 20%
- Similarity from a single source must not exceed 5%
Note: References, properly quoted text, and standard methodological descriptions may be excluded from similarity calculations.
4. Handling of Plagiarism
Actions taken depend on the severity of the violation:
- Minor plagiarism: The manuscript will be returned to the author for revision
- Major plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected
- Post-publication plagiarism: The article will be retracted, and a formal notice will be issued
5. Author Responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and must ensure that all sources are properly cited in accordance with the journal’s referencing style APA Style (7th Edition).
6. Ethical Compliance
This policy aligns with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and reflects the journal’s commitment to maintaining high standards of academic quality and integrity.
