Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Nuraga: Journal of Education and Learning Insights implements a rigorous, objective, and transparent double-blind peer-review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of all published articles.

1. Initial Screening (2–4 weeks)

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the editorial team to assess their alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with the Author Guidelines, completeness of submission, and adherence to publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected at this stage (desk rejection).

2. Plagiarism Check

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are examined using plagiarism detection software. Submissions with a high similarity index may be rejected or returned to authors for revision, depending on the severity.

3. Review Model

This journal adopts a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure fairness, objectivity, and independence in the evaluation process.

4. Reviewer Selection

The editor assigns at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research experience, and publication record.

5. Review Process (4–8 weeks)

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

Based on the evaluation, reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:
accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected.

6. Author Revision

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewer comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

7. Final Decision

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial judgment.

8. Publication (Total time: 8–20 weeks)

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and final proofreading before being published online. The overall time from submission to publication typically ranges from 8 to 20 weeks, depending on the review and revision process.

9. Ethical Considerations

All stages of the peer-review process are conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal ensures confidentiality, transparency, and the avoidance of conflicts of interest throughout the review process.
